A Talk by Eleanor Beevor , Mouhamadou Kane , Kingsley Madueke , Dr Freedom Onuoha and Lyes Tagziria

About this Talk

This panel focuses on some of the key challenges arising from organised crime, violence and armed group activity in West Africa. It will examine in particular how state responses and communal initiatives have tried to respond to these threats, and why responses from security forces have often had complex, counter-productive effects. The panel will consider what options are available for more effective responses.
