Kingsley L. Madueke is Nigeria Research Coordinator for Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC). He joined GI-TOC as a consultant in August 2021 and has contributed to various research projects in Nigeria. His research centres on communal violence, instability, organized crime, terrorism and peacebuilding. He is also a lecturer at the Centre for Conflict Management and Peace Studies, University of Jos, Nigeria.
He has a PhD in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and an M.Sc. in Conflict Management and Peace Studies, University of Jos, Nigeria. He was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR) (2014 – 2015) and an Urban Studies Foundation Visiting Fellow in the department of Urban Planning and Public Policy, University of California, Irvine (2020). His article on armed rioters in Jos won the David and Helen Kimble Prize for best academic article published in Journal of Modern African Studies in 2018.
