About this speaker

Mouhamadou joined the GI-TOC West African Observatory in November 2021. Over the past 4 years he specialized in transnational organized crime and illicit markets issues, covering extensively Sénégal and to some extent Mali and the Republic of Guinea.


Prior to joining the GI-TOC, Mouhamadou worked as a researcher at the Centre des Hautes Etudes de Défense et de Security (CHEDS) of the Presidency of the Republic of Senegal, where he took part in different research projects and wrote a number of policy oriented reports.


Mouhamadou also worked at ENACT, in the Dakar office, where he extensively published on a wide range of organized crime issues including, drug trafficking, car trafficking, human trafficking/smuggling and timber trafficking.
