Sheelagh Brady

About this speaker

Sheelagh Brady is the co-founder and Chief Security Analyst with SAR Consultancy, a security analysis and research provider. From 1998 until 2012, Sheelagh was a member of An Garda Siochana (Irish Police Force). She left the force to take on a greater international dimension to her work. Since then, Sheelagh held the position of Analyst with the European Union Police Mission in Bosnia Herzegovina, Security Analyst with the European Union Border Assistance Mission in Libya and Senior Security Analyst with UNDSS in Abuja Nigeria. Since late 2014, Sheelagh set up SAR Consultancy, which provides security analysis and research to NGOs, private business and the diplomatic community. Sheelagh holds a number of qualifications, among which, a PhD from Dublin City University (DCU), a MA in Criminal Justice Studies, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York and MSc in Crime Science from the Jill Dando Institute, University College London.
