Assistant Professor and Head of the Chair on Countering Illicit Trade and Preventing Transnational Organized Crime at the University for Peace. He holds a PhD in International Politics and Conflict Resolution from the University of Coimbra (Portugal), a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Fortaleza (Brazil). He is the editor of the book Global Approaches on State Fragility and Organized Crime (University for Peace, 2023).
