About this speaker
Chief Superintendent Colette Quinn has a long association with the business area of children and young people, she was Director of the statutory Diversion Programme under the Children Act 2001 from 2007 until 2017 and is now in charge of the Garda Youth Diversion Bureau. Colette is an advocate for young people and her ambition is to further improve services to children who come in contact with the law, both, internally within An Garda Síochána and in partnership with other service providers both statutory and non-statutory. As head of the Garda Youth Diversion Bureau, Colette and her team are key players along with Youth Organisations and the Department of Justice in delivering on the objections of the recently launched Youth Justice Strategy 2022-2027.
