About this talk
This panel uses research from interviews and big data analysis and explores the commonalities and differences amongst countries’ relationship between state actors and criminal syndicates in both interdicting and facilitating drug trafficking. It will specifically examine three proxy dimensions of drug trafficking: patterns of violence, mafia-like and networked crimes, and state involvement in organised criminal activity.
