Exploring the Links Between Violent Extremism and Organized Crime in the Western Balkans

Over the past year, GI-TOC has conducted research examining the connections between violent extremism and organized crime in the Western Balkans. In this session, we will share key findings from three reports that focus on: 1) identifying and analyzing the links between violent extremism and organized crime; 2) exploring the financial aspects of this nexus, including how extremist activities are funded; and 3) understanding the intersection between military training, political extremism, and organized crime.
