About this Talk

This panel will discuss the collaboration with law enforcement to tackle sex trafficking in the virtual red light district or the adult service websites, particularly in the UK and Europe. Then, they will present the new UN Office on Drugs and Crime’s Toolkit on Mainstreaming gender and human rights in the implementation of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime. Besides, they will explore the increasing role of electronic evidence in investigations and the need for closer global cooperation between law enforcement agencies. Finally, they will introduce an approach to help banks and financial institutions to detect the financial footprint of human trafficking in their customer data which could be reported more effectively to law enforcement.
