About this Talk
This panel will address the importance of inter-institutional cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean to combat illicit trade. It will bring together representatives of both public and private sector, as well as diverse professional backgrounds (lawyers, investigators, academics, public officers). They will discuss best practices and lessons learned to strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors to face the challenges posed by this criminal phenomenon. Multidisciplinary approaches and innovative strategies to prevent and combat illicit trade will be explored. The panel will highlight the importance of a joint and coordinated response, addressing both the legal, social and economic aspects of this problem in the region.
