About this speaker

Victoria Wozniak-Cole is a researcher at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at KU Leuven, Belgium. She is a Victimologist and has an interdisciplinary background, combining social sciences and law with a strong focus on victims' rights and needs. Next to her studies, Victoria has previously worked at the International Victimology Institute Tilburg in the Netherlands.

Victoria's research project is entitled "Exploring the aftermath of human trafficking at the intersection of judicial and personal life spheres - A study at the crossroads of trauma psychology and narrative victimology". In particular, the study examines the legal, relational, family and community context in the aftermath of human trafficking with the aim of furthering the understanding of trauma recovery.
