Dr. Veronika Nagy is Assistant Professor at the Willem Pompe Institute in Utrecht. She completed her PhD in the DGCG program funded by Erasmus Mundus+. Her research interest includes surveillance, digital inequality with a focus on the connection between mobility and technology, securitisation of international migration and criminalization. She has conducted research on specific forms of securitisation, financial surveillance, ethnic mobility, human trafficking, and digital profiling (exploitation of workers, forced criminal activities and forced labour, trafficking of children). Veronika is currently doing a research scholarship ‘Virtual Asylum’ funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation.
