About this speaker

Vandalark R. Patricks is a Human Rights Defender from Liberia, West Africa with experience in human rights protection, policy advocacy, youth development, empowerment, and grooming emerging leaders in Liberia and across Africa to ignite change in society. He is a Harvard Kennedy School of Government graduate, and an Edward S. Mason Fellow where he obtained a Master of Public Administration, MPA, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy and Management.


Vandalark has significant work experience in fighting systemic corruption, drug abuse, crime, criminal governance, and social iniqualities in his home country, Liberia, and worldwide for the past 15 years, explicitly dealing with systemic corruption, human rights abuse, poverty, and social inequalities. Vandalark serves as a role model for many young people in Liberia. He has continued to mobilize grassroots institutions, and develop their capacities to become productive citizens in Liberia. He has been physically and psychologically tortured and jailed for his social justice activism. Vandalark is the Founder and Executive Director of Campaigners for Change International.
