About this speaker
Taha Siddiqui is a Pakistani investigative journalist living in exile in France since 2018. He founded the DISSIDENT club, a bar in Paris where dissidents from around the world meet. He is also a teacher at SciencesPo and continues to write for several international journals. In Pakistan, he was a correspondent for several international media including the New York Times, the Guardian and France24. In 2014, he received the Prix Albert Londres for his documentary called "Le guerre de Polio”. He had to flee Pakistan after surviving a kidnapping and assassination attempt allegedly carried out by the country's military services for his investigations of human rights abuse by the Pakistan Army.
