About this speaker
Taha Siddiqui is a Pakistani investigative journalist living in exile in France since 2018. He founded the DISSIDENT club, a bar in Paris where dissidents from around the world meet. He is also a teacher at SciencesPo and continues to write for several international journals. In Pakistan, he was a correspondent for several international media including the New York Times, the Guardian and France24. In 2014, he received the Prix Albert Londres for his documentary called "Le guerre de Polioā€¯. He had to flee Pakistan after surviving a kidnapping and assassination attempt allegedly carried out by the country's military services for his investigations of human rights abuse by the Pakistan Army.
