Mónica Meltis is an activist from Mexico City who, as director of the organization Data Cívica, works to counter narratives that are harmful to the defence of human rights, using science and technology. She studied Political Science and International Relations at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and has participated in research processes into serious human rights violations such as the disappearance of people in Mexico, public health and violence against vulnerable groups.
