Dr Derica Lambrechts

I am an experienced political risk analyst, organised crime expert and political science lecturer. My research interests include the following: increased levels of political risk in Southern Africa (weak state capacity, corruption, and civil unrest), illicit economies in Southern Africa, theoretical frameworks of political risk; political security-risk; and industry specific political risk models, interaction between domestic non-state actors, the state, and society, organised criminal groups as a domestic non-state actor, environmental organised crime.
