About this speaker

Brooke Stearns Lawson is a Senior Conflict, Governance, and Crime Advisor with USAID’s Africa Bureau (USAID/AFR), who provides technical assistance, program management, and policy guidance on a wide range of conflict and governance issues. Brooke currently serves as the Transnational Organized Crime lead on USAID's Anti-Corruption Task Force. Her work has focused on transnational organized crime, natural resource management (particularly minerals), non-state armed groups, conflict and peace building, political economy analysis (PEA), and private sector engagement.
