About this talk
This panel will discuss the findings of an investigation held in the Darien Region on criminal dynamics and migrant smuggling, a region that has seen an increase in migration of over 300%. This region falls under the influence of Colombia’s largest criminal organisation, comprises multiple illegal economies, drug, and gold trafficking routes, has seen a larger influence of different foreign criminal actors and a significant change in the profile of migrants, related to international politics.
