This roundtable will discuss how Italian mafias are represented in popular culture. In particular, it will discuss the relationship between the cultural capital of Italian mafias, how they are represented in popular culture and our general perceptions/understanding of Italian Mafias. To what extent are representations of Mafias in popular culture realistic and helpful?
