About this Talk
This panel will explore the impact of war on the pervasive nature of organzied crime and corruption in Ukraine as well as different institutional ways of tackling these issues. Then, they will discuss the recent developments of the anti-corruption strategy by the European Union which is in line with the United Nations Convention against Corruption (2003). They will further look at the drivers of corruption particularly in the Kruger National Park (KNP) in South Africa based on the interviews with managers and rangers in KPN while demonstrating the co-developed holistic intervention plan to reduce corruption. Finally, they will talk about the civic monitoring and Resilience Fund as part of the corruption prevention tools from the Italian experience.
