Yael Anahi Lopez is a PhD researcher at the University of York. She specialises in democratisation, criminal violence, civil society and policy implementation. She is the academic coordinator for the project Ventana: a Conference on Latin America, based at York. She holds an MA in International Relations and a BA in same subject by the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
