Sevim Saadat has worked as a legal practitioner and consultant for over 9 years in the justice sector in Pakistan, specifically on gender-based rights, legal education and legal empowerment of marginalized groups. Sevim is the co-founder and Director Advocacy & Policy at the Centre for Human Rights, Pakistan (CFHR). At CFHR, she leads the Criminal Justice & Organized Crime Portfolio. Her work includes conceptualization and development of research, legal and policy review, advocacy and awareness raising activities with affected populations. Sevim has extensively researched on smuggling of migrant from Pakistan on east-ward pathways. She also supports various projects as a gender expert, including legislative and policy review, as well as treaty compliance of the national framework. Alongside this, Sevim runs the Human Rights Clinic in the Centre for Human Rights, Pakistan.
