About this speaker

Runa Lazzarino is a sociocultural anthropologist, with an interest in migration and health. Runa started investigating recovery/ reintegration processes and care/ assistance discourses and practices for exploited migrants and human trafficking survivors in 2008. Runa’s research interests revolve around transcultural and global (mental) health/ care, exploited migrants (victims of human trafficking, conflict, and abuse), social and cultural norms and determinants of health, participatory and creative interventions and evaluations. Runa is currently a research fellow at Nuffield Department of Primary Care – Oxford University and in the UKRI GCRF Gender, Justice and Security Hub – Middlesex University.
