Rodrigo Pedroso is a Brazilian journalist and sociologist, focused in environmental and human rights stories. Covered the post-conflict in Colombia and currently covers the Amazon rainforest. His works have been published in different media outlets, such as Piaui (Brazil), BBC Brasil, El País Brasil, CNN (USA), The Guardian (UK), Internazionale (Italy), Courrier International (France), Ojo Público (Perú) and Armando.info (Venezuela). A Pulitzer´s Center Amazon Rainforest Journalism Fund grantee, currently working on investigation of environmental crimes in the Amazon as freelance. Won the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Award in 2024 for his investigation on illegal gold mining in the Amazon and the european award Covering Climate Now in 2024 for his work at Forbidden Stories Project.
