Nina Kaysser

Nina is a Senior Analyst at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime. At the Global Initiative her role focuses on enhancing the (quantitative) evidence base of organized crime. She has been involved in the development of the Organized Crime Index, as well as the IUU Fishing Index since 2017. Currently, she is involved in the development of the Global Assassination Monitor, a unique database which hopes to contribute to a better evidence base for the study of contract killings and the ways in which the phenomenon is linked to organized crime. Before joining the Global Initiative, she worked for the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED) project, specialising in political violence in Bangladesh, Nepal and India. She holds a PhD in Development Studies and a MSc in Development Economics from SOAS, University of London.
