Mónica Hurtado Lozano is an associate professor in the Faculty of Law & Political Sciences at Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia. She holds an MA in Latin American studies from Stanford University and an MA in international peace studies from the University of Notre Dame. She worked as a consultant for the Trafficking in Persons Program of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the International Labor Organization (ILO). She has done research on human trafficking, sexual exploitation, child recruitment, and palm oil agribusiness and forced displacement in Colombia.
