About this speaker
My work focuses mainly on the recruitment and participation of Latin American youth in criminal activity, particularly murder. I am also interested in the cultural capital that forms and shapes bonds within gangs and other organised criminal structures. My research is often based on so-called "edge work" or ethnographic practice in contexts of high risk, as well as participatory and creative methodologies within contexts of (in)security, delinquency and criminal governance.
