About this speaker

Mario Abrego, holds a B.A. in International Relations from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus and is currently doing an International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, Dublin City University, Ireland and Charles University, Czech Republic. Mr Abrego has work experience in the Ministry of the Interior, Security and Foreign Affairs. His areas of interest include the convergence of terrorism and organized crime and international security.

He also counts with studies at the University of New Brunswick in Canada. He is a graduate from the William J. Perry Center at the National Defense University in Washington, DC; from the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Germany and the Center for Strategic Studies in the Near East and South Asia from the Department of Defense of US in Tunisia. He has coordinated and collaborated on articles and books published in Mexico and the US on cybersecurity, defence, the global agenda, and foreign policy. He has also been a speaker at conferences and seminars in Mexico, Paraguay, and Tunisia.
