Lauren R. Pearson is a Ph.D. candidate researching the phenomenon of illegally set wildfires in Sicily. My research has been supported by Trinity College's Research Grant in Modern Italian History (“Barbieri Grant”), The Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship, The Berkeley-Naples Fellowship, and the Department of Geography, University of California, Berkeley.
