About this speaker
John Vu is the Business Operations Manager for Matera Alliance Inc. and specializes in workforce development solutions in Vietnam. In particular, he manages the delivery of FACT® training for global brands and their suppliers in order to increase awareness and knowledge of modern slavery in their supply chains. To date, he has deployed FACT® training to over 10,000 managers and workers in 12 factories throughout Vietnam. Prior to Matera Alliance, he was a Communications Consultant at IOM X, the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) campaign to encourage safe migration and public action to prevent human trafficking. Before his work in international development, John worked for global communications agencies servicing tech clients in sectors such as solar, energy storage and cyber security.
John has a joint master's degree in Global Studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and FLACSO Argentina and a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from San Jose State University.
