About this speaker

Jo-Anne Kramer is a PhD Candidate at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU University Amsterdam) and the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR). Her research focusses on professional money launderers and money laundering networks. The goal of her project is to gain a systematic and in-depth understanding of how professional money launderers working for drug criminals get involved in illegal practices, the extent to which they provide their services in a business-like manner, and the ways in which the criminal environment they operate in is structured. Jo-Anne holds a MSc in Criminology with an extracurricular Research Track from VU University Amsterdam and an Honours BSc in Criminology from that same university.
