About this speaker
Despoina Chatzakou received the Degree in Computer Science, the MSc in Informatics and Management, and the PhD in Computer Science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She is a postdoctoral research fellow with CERTH-ITI. Her research activity mainly lies on artificial intelligence, particularly in the following areas: (i) web data mining, with particular interest in data streams and social network analysis, (ii) natural language processing and text mining, (iii) modelling methods for graph and network data, and (iv) behaviour analysis (e.g., sentiment analysis, affective computing, and discovery of abusive behaviours), with particular focus on security applications. Since 2012 she has worked on several R&D projects, e.g., VANGUARD (HORIZON EUROPE), ODYSSEUS (Η2020), CREST (H2020), CONNEXIONs (H2020), beAware (H2020), ENCASE (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions), REVITAL (7th EU Framework Programme), SEN2SOC (7th EU Framework Programme). Finally, she has co-authored more than 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
