About this speaker
Dajana Berisha is the Executive Director of the Forum for Civic Initiatives – FIQ working to increase and improve the public participation of citizen in decision making processes in Kosovo.
With a diverse international academic and professional background Dajana's previous professional experiences include policy making in areas like employment, migration, social welfare, and entrepreneurship to support active employment policies combined with economic assistance for poverty alleviation. Dajana graduated in the field of linguistics and literature, holds an MA in Migration and Development from the University of Sussex, many other professional specializations in international human rights and humanitarian laws, executive leadership of NGO's from Harvard University and was educated in Albania, Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden and the United States.
Dajana's vision for the forum has been to empower FIQ through empowerment of its local partners with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to enable them to make better decisions, work towards sustainability and increase their advocacy capacities.
Ms. Berisha holds dual citizenship Albanian and American, worked and lived in Albania, USA, England, Scandinavian Countries and is currently residing and working in Kosovo.
