Carlos Mourão

Human Rights activist, Lawyer with over a decade of legal training and experience from popular legal advisory collectives, advising and participating in organized social movements. He has accumulated practical experience from 2018 to 2021 as a technical Lawyer for the Protection Program, revolving around the reports of the multiple facets of contemporary urban violence. From 2021 to the present, he has been the General Coordinator of the Protection Program for Victims and Threatened Witnesses of the State of Ceará (PROVITA-CE), executed by Instituto de Arte e Cidadania do Ceará (IAC-CE), and since 2023, he has implemented and supervised the PROVITA of the State of Mato Grosso. His professional practice allows him different interactions with public agents, participating in or influencing sensitive decision-making.
