About this speaker

Barbara Collier, a former ICU nurse, is now a licensed professional counselor, and somatic experiencing practitioner. Her training includes post-graduate studies in Dr. Stanley Greenspan’s DIR/Floortime comprehensive approach to working with children diagnosed with Autism, Collaborative Counseling and Collaborative leadership certification with Antioch University, Attachment across a lifespan, biographical counseling, Equine Facilitated Learning, Equine Facilitated Mental Health, infant mental health, trauma and Somatic Experiencing. She has worked extensively with typically developing children on the autism spectrum, with significant developmental challenges, children from the foster care and adoption communities, as well as children from vulnerable and unstable families. Using her knowledge of biology, physiology, psychology and somatic approaches, she works with children, adults and families to build resilience and capacity and regulation within their systems.
