About this speaker
I majored in International Law and I have a Master in journalism with a thesis about Chinese organized crime in Italy. During my career as crime correspondent in Italy first and as China correspondent after, I had the chance to cover several stories related to transnational crime: Ndrangheta's money laundering schemes in Hong Kong, match-fixing gangs in Singapore, the relationship between jihadist groups and money laundering in Indonesia, street gangs in Sweden. "Statale 106" is my first book: a reportage about the international branches of the 'Ndrangheta, it spans from Canada to Europe, Australia and Latin America and it was published in several European languages. My second book "Milano sotto Milano" is an exploration of Milan's economic underworld between 2009 and 2019, and my third book "La stagione delle spie" covers the activities of Russian agents in Italy between 2016 and 2023. I currently work in Milan at the foreign affairs desk of Radio24, Italy's leading all-news radio station. I was born and raised in Calabria.
