About this speaker

Anna Laskai is a Criminologist, and her research interests focus on Organizational, White Collar and Corporate Crime. She holds a Bachelor Degree (B.A.) in Sociology, a Masters Degree (M.A.) in Criminology, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Forensics, Criminology and Law. Anna completed her PhD in 2018 in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctoral Program, at the University of Utrecht (Netherlands) and the Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary). Her research discussed the theory of institutional corruption and its application to relationships between the pharmaceutical industry and the medical profession in Hungary and the Netherlands. Between 2018 and 2021 Anna worked as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Amsterdam within the forensics and cyber threat intelligence practice. Since the beginning of 2021 Anna has been working as Assistant Professor of Criminology at the Willem Pompe Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology at Utrecht University.
