About this speaker
Andrew Miller's research explores issues surrounding organized crime, policing, and conflict. Prior to joining the Naval Academy, he was an assistant director and research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations. He has field experience outside the United States includes Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Iraq, and Afghanistan, among elsewhere. His work has been funded by the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice, Notre Dame’s Global Religion Research Initiative, the Templeton Foundation, the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), and other sources. Andrew holds a PhD in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a member of the Security Studies Program.
