About this speaker

I graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Debrecen in 2011. Afterwards I was a PhD student at the Department of Criminal Procedure, where I was appointed assistant professor in 2014. At the same time, I was given an internship at the Curia (Supreme Court) in 2014 and 2015, and then started working as an advisor at the Criminal Chamber.

In December 2015, I defended my PhD thesis on the legal institution of restraining orders. The thesis was published as a book in 2018.

From 2021, I worked alongside the Deputy President of the Curia for Legal Unity, thus becoming involved in one of the most important activities of the Curia. The experience I gained here inspired my research into the Curia's legal unit activities, primarily in the field of substantive and procedural criminal law. I have chosen this topic as my habilitation topic and have accordingly presented several conference papers and published a few studies in this field.
