Anders Frantzen

About this speaker

Anders Frantzen is a Programme Officer at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and its Civil Society Team. With over 15 years of international service, he has served in various political and programme management functions in New York, at the UN Security Council’s Secretariat, as well as in conflict areas including the UN Mission in Afghanistan as a political affairs officer, and in South Sudan for the UN peacekeeping mission. Anders has studied in Australia, the United States, Spain and Norway and holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics and a master’s degree in business administration, with a post-graduate diploma in global affairs from New York University. He did a 2-year assignment as a Senior Programme Manager with the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) and brings a wealth of experience in the fields of political affairs, peacebuilding, programme management and policy. Prior to joining the UN in 2006, he worked in the private financial sector in Switzerland. He resides in Vienna with his partner and daughter.
