About this speaker
Almedina Dodic joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime in March 2022 as a Project Assistant for the South Eastern Europe Observatory (SEE-Obs). Her career began in the civil society sector as a youth activist at NGO New Horizon, where she led initiatives promoting interethnic and intercultural dialogue among young people in Montenegro, aiming to mitigate social challenges.
Almedina has led anti-corruption projects, focusing on empowering Albanian-language media in Montenegro and supporting civil society activists to investigate and report corruption, raise public awareness, and monitor the implementation of Public Administration Reform.
As the founder of NGO Eduko Plus, Almedina is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for rural youth through non-formal education. She has also played a key role in drafting youth policies at the local level.
Almedina is fluent in English, Albanian, and Montenegrin, with basic knowledge of Turkish.
