Aline Wani is the Co-Director and Co-Founder of the Visibility for Transformation Lab (VIFT), committed to fostering social transformative change through creative and innovative transdisciplinary processes. Awarded the Mercator Fellowship, Aline specializes in mobilizing transdisciplinary methods for aesthetic and political practices in violence prevention and memorialization. As part of her fellowship, she has been working with swisspeace, the International Crisis Group (ICG), and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on topics of transitional justice, militarization, and humanitarian approaches to searching disappeared and missing people. Previously, Aline was working as a Consultant for the Civil Society Unit within the Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs at UNODC in Vienna. Her professional experiences also encompass roles at the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), the Center on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP), and the School of Economics and Political Science (SEPS-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen. Aline studied International Affairs at the University of St. Gallen and obtained a Master's degree in Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
